Together, we can

Build a world where everyone has mental health support and a stable environment.

Our Mission is to create a world where health, homelessness, and education are made a priority and responsibility of society.

What we provide

Housing

Provide individuals with a home of their own that is permanent & stable.

Help

Supportive services to help residents live independently.

Hope

An environment that enhances the opportunity for a better life.

Our Impact

The impact is even more intensified when we have the support of selfless and caring community members that make an impact on us and all our activities. They highlight those parts of the society that are broken, so we can help them in all possible ways to make a colossal impact.

Who We Serve

We serve individuals and families from diverse races, ethnicities, and genders. Many face dual diagnoses of mental illness and substance use disorders, developmental disabilities, and/or HIV/AIDS. Our residents, many of whom start out with little to no income, come from hospitals, behavioral health institutions, emergency shelters, correctional facilities, the streets, or other locations not equipped for habitation. Many of these individuals are among the most vulnerable, often described by other providers as “hard to serve.”

Housing First

The Geralds Foundation meets people where they are and accepts them for who they are. Our work is rooted in the Housing First movement, an evidence-based approach focused on ending homelessness as quickly as possible by providing permanent housing, and then providing wrap around supportive services. By combining shelter, support and services, we help our residents maintain their dignity, restore their stability and self-sufficiency, and receive treatment for their mental illness and other disabling conditions.

We provide permanent housing options through a mix of single site and scattered site residences, all providing integrated supportive services. Our goal is to help people transition from the streets and shelters as quickly as possible and into a stable, hopeful, independent life. Our model has proven successful; our residents routinely maintain a housing stability rate of more than 90%.
